Fallen trees are a major flood risk, often blocking flows causing flooding and erosion. Removing these is usually specialist work. Frequently, trees become unstable and felling and removing these is even more complex. There are opportunities where strategically felling trees into a watercourse can prevent downstream flooding, but this should only be considered following expert advice.
